OK so I moved in here on the 18th (for marching band) and was about to practice my audition music for wind symphony. Little did I know that in the mess of helping my mother move the week before I had somehow misplaced my mouthpiece :O . Luckily for me I had already met the ONLY OTHER horn major at this school. He happily helped me out and lent me a mouthpiece and now I play with him in the symphony.
I really want to make better grades in college than I did in high school so I'm hoping to stay on top of things. But in the midst of that I kind of hope I look sort of busy all of the time so that when I get my final grades they will all be good, but so also my little brother can get a little motivated to get some higher grades while he's still in high school.
Hope you all are having a fairly easy week!
Stay focused and motivated Sydney. Never stop to remind yourself of the final goal!
ReplyDeleteI played the drums in high school band. I really didn't like band at all though. It was more of the "cool" thing to do but I was more into athletics then marching around, but when I went into the military, the marching in step was a breeze. I messed around in class and could care less about my grades in high school, but now that I'm in a college setting, I'm trying to improve in a lot of things. Nice to meet you and good luck with this semester.
ReplyDeleteThat's cool your in the Golden Eagles. I was a Golden Eagle five years ago when I first came to SEMO. It was a lot of work but just as much fun. Met a lot of people and made lots of friends.
